AI tools for everyone!

It just isn't slowing down is it? AI tools are coming by the day and by the dozen, often led by the big boys trying to establish dominance and protect their turf in the AI space and assert why they are making so much money! Let s break down some of the releases just this week!

Google has announced the release of its own chatbot based on a large language model called Bard, which allows users to interact with generative AI to ask questions and refine answers. The product will initially be limited to a public rollout in the US and UK and is being touted as an early experiment to boost productivity, accelerate ideas, and fuel curiosity. Bard is based on Google's own LaMDA model.

The release of Bard has raised debates about plagiarism and Google's relationship with third-party websites, and it will be interesting to see how the product evolves in the future

Adobe has announced a new AI-powered image generator called Firefly. It can be used to create images of people, objects, and scenes, and it's designed to be more user-friendly than existing AI image generators. Firefly will be integrated into Adobe's Creative Cloud suite of tools, making it accessible to designers and artists who use Adobe software for their work. The tool uses GANs (Generative Adversarial Networks) to create images, and Adobe says it has achieved "breakthroughs in the realism and diversity of the images that it can generate." Firefly is still in development, and there's no word yet on when it will be released to the public.

Microsoft has integrated OpenAI's DALL-E image creator into its search engine, Bing. DALL-E, named after surrealist artist Salvador Dali and Pixar's WALL-E, uses AI to generate images from text descriptions. The integration will allow users to search for images using natural language descriptions and receive generated images from DALL-E. This is part of Microsoft's push to integrate more AI capabilities into its products, following the success of OpenAI's GPT-3 language model in Microsoft's Power Apps platform. The integration also highlights the growing use of AI in the creative industry, particularly in generating images and videos

NVIDIA has launched its DGX Cloud, an online service that enables companies to access the processing power of its AI supercomputers. The cloud will cost $36,999 per month for a single node and will feature eight of NVIDIA's H100 or A100 systems with 60GB of VRAM, with 640GB of memory across the node. DGX Cloud can be used alongside on-site DGX devices, controlled by NVIDIA's Base Command software, and will be powered by Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure. The service will soon expand to Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure. NVIDIA also launched AI Foundations, which allows companies to develop their own Large Language Models, and four new inference platforms.

All of this and it's only Wednesday!!!!
