Latest A.I. News

Google, Google, what did you do?!

Did Google rush their ChatBot unveiling ever so slightly? Maybe they could've waited a bit until it was more refined and devoted a few thousand engineers to it!

So Google has unveiled their ChatGPT competitor Bard in an event yesterday! and all seemed to be going well until an eagle-eyed Twitter user spotted and reported a factual flaw in some of the info that Bard returned

No big deal right? we all make mistakes. Well no - this error seems to sow major doubt in Bard's ability to deliver the goods - and subsequently wiped about $100B off Googles market cap - bad day at the office for someone!

Bard has some interesting use cases:

  • Get answers:: If you have a query, you can ask the chatbot, which will use its sophisticated AI algorithms to generate a thoughtful and appropriate response.

  • Find information with the familiar engine: Whether you’re looking for a weather report or the latest sports scores, the Google Bard AI chatbot can help powered by the search engine.

  • Automate tasks: The chatbot is powered by Google AI and can take care of several activities automatically, such as making a restaurant reservation or booking a flight. Google was already finding them for you, with this new chatbot it is also expected to be able to buy them for you.

  • Your personal AI assistant: The Google Bard AI chatbot can assist you in managing your time and ensuring that you never miss an appointment or forget to complete a critical step in a process.

  • Social hub: The chatbot can also function as a social hub, facilitating user conversations in both group and one-on-one settings.

It's currently in closed Beta and only certain people have access to the link (remember the Gmail launch anyone?) so let's see how quickly this becomes available - or does it need some more work?πŸ€”

Just for fun, we asked Midjourney what Sundar the Google CEO may be feeling after this little mishap! Doesn't look too happy!

Meme Me!

Claymation Zuck and Bezos courtesy of AI. Hmm, I'm not so sure they nailed it - also why do the 2 CEOs who have the least amount of noise around AI right now - show me Sam and Sataya! Also not sure why they are both holding pets and not a stack of money and some random employee's head.

 AI Product of the Day

Taskade lets you "build a second brain for your teams" - seems like a Notion but on steroids. Use its AI features to Combine tasks, notes, video chat, and brainstorming as well. It also features an AI writer! Seems tools like these are going to give established players like Slack/ Zoom/ Notion/ (insert hear) a run for their money

SoundRaw is a session jammer killer! Use AI to create any track or type of sound you want! All royalty-free. Will we need jingle writers in the future or is that one of the jobs on the AI hitlist?
