👀 RoboLawyer gets sued by real Lawyers!🤖

👋 Welcome to A.I. Deets - It's Monday and we've just avoided a massive banking meltdown, so for once A.I. was quiet on the news front! Wonder if banks run by AI would let this happen?

Anyway, let's see what's up today:

Latest A.I. News

Robo Lawyer is being sued by real Lawyers!

The world's first robot lawyer, DoNotPay, is facing a proposed class-action lawsuit filed by Chicago-based law firm Edelson, accusing the company of practicing law without a license. The complaint argues that DoNotPay is not a lawyer, law firm, nor a robot and that it does not have a law degree, is not barred in any jurisdiction, and is not supervised by any lawyer.

The lawsuit was filed on behalf of Jonathan Faridian, who claimed to have used DoNotPay to draft legal documents and got substandard results. DoNotPay claims to use AI to help customers handle an array of legal services without hiring a lawyer, and it was founded in 2015 as an app to help customers fight parking tickets. DoNotPay denied the allegations and pledged to defend itself vigorously.

Joshua Browder, the CEO of DoNotPay, said that the claims had no merit and that he had been inspired to set up the company to take on lawyers who he claims often win at the expense of consumers.

AI is taking over the Cold Call

Salespeople everywhere are rejoicing because they no longer have to write those boring sales emails. Instead, they can use generative AI to create personalized emails and customer service responses!

Salesforce's CEO, Clara Shih, said that this technology is not about writing funny poems, but rather about getting back to customers faster. The updated software, Einstein GPT, uses OpenAI's advanced AI models that power ChatGPT.

But don't worry, employees won't be replaced by chatbots anytime soon. Shih said that these tools can help optimize things for workers, just like Google Maps helps people optimize their traveling routes. And while companies need to ensure that their proprietary data doesn't get out there, the future looks bright for generative AI. (but lets how bright it looks for people shall we!)
